About Us
The Loxahatchee Guild was founded in 1981 by local individuals dedicated to preserving the history of northern Palm Beach County.
Over the past 4 decades, the Guild has raised over $1.4 million in support of local preservation projects. These projects include the move and restoration of the Jupiter FEC Railway Depot at Sawfish Bay Park, the construction of River Center (originally the Loxahatchee Museum) , the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse properties, DuBoise House and other ventures.
The Guild was honored with the 2010 Fannie James Pioneer Achievement Award by the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. In 2025, the Loxahatchee Guild was awarded a proclamation by the Mayor of Jupiter for its outstanding work in historic preservation in the community.
The annual Party for Preservation gala event remains the primary source of funding for these initiatives, continuing a tradition of community support and impact.
Preserving the past for its appreciation in the future.
